dramatic, The Furniture Republic (TFR) is a storehouse of the choicest hand picked pieces from across the globe. The aim, which is to provide buyers with exceptional quality and exquisite designs, are more than met by the brand. “My brand is inspired by a strong belief that class is a matter of taste, not price. With this philosophy, the store offers buyers products such as furniture, rugs, wall décor, and accessories for a wholesome experience,” says Aditya Gupta, MD, The Furniture Republic.

The store, which is in New Delhi’s MG Road, has been captivating buyers since its inception in April 2013. Spread over 15,000 sq. ft, TFR has been beautifully designed to enthral customers with its breathtaking collection. As you enter the store, don’t miss the unique old railway wood, refractory bricks used inside boilers and many other extraordinary pieces that have been used as design elements. Hand painted walls in the basement and a central stage area with a captivating ceiling make the space eye catching. Talking about the collection, Aditya explains, “One can experience an inspiring mix of modern, fusion, and traditional styles of home décor products here. The aesthetics and styling of the furniture line aims to meet varied tastes. Here, customers can see modern furniture and avant garde lines from Europe and Australia. A wide range of high-end Tibetan and Indian contemporary knotted rugs are also available in exciting designs and colours. We also have a huge range of imported accessories like vases, artefacts, show pieces among others to suit everyone’s taste.” Aditya sources from the best factories around the world bringing it all under one roof, offering products that boast of international standards. “We source from countries like Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal, South East Asia and various parts of Europe and Australia.

In India, we usually source from collectors’ collections and contractors in Rajasthan, Gujarat etc. I love collecting and picking items for my brand. It is my passion!” smiles Aditya. With its mantra, ‘Live Smart, Buy Right’, The Furniture Republic aims to give consumers access to quality furniture without breaking the bank. Choose from a plethora of sofas, coffee tables, loungers, beds, side tables, dining tables etc. The collection is truly for connoisseurs of fine décor who like to stay a step ahead of the times. The store also adds new pieces and new colour combinations regularly to create a range of unparalleled versatility. “People look for items that complement their décor. So I try stocking more and more options to fulfil their needs,” explains Aditya. At TFR, the service starts with a design consultation and advice on creating exceptionally beautiful spaces. No wonder then that there is an unending queue of customers! Aditya is understandably happy with the brand’s success and the fact that it has been conceived as a national chain as well as a wholesale arm for selling to important stores across the

country. “We also plan to go national with a franchisee model and have more stores in NCR. The Dot com model will be launched in October this year and our products will be available nationally,” he states. Global sourcing is TFR’s strength as the promoters have been in the global home fashion business for over two decades. The collection has won the appreciation of customers and critics alike, and scaling up to a national level over the next five years is in order. A sister brand is in the offing before the end of this year under the name of ‘The Rug Republic’ and this will bring together the finest collection of global floor fashion available internationally.
