BEDDING MATTERS
Duvet covers instantly give the bed a hotel-like look! This can also be incorporated in the master bedroom to add a touch of glamour!

Create a welcoming guest room by simply switching from white light to a warm yellow light. Watch the room transform in a jiffy!
FLORAL FEST
What better way to say you care than with flowers! Do like luxury hotels do and have a beautiful floral arrangement in the room. The latest trend from the hotel business of using monochromatic flowers usually in a contrasting hue (to the room) will make a fabulous sight in your guest room as well. If flowers are not your thing, plants works like a charm too!
BEDSIDE THINGS
A bedside table is a must in the guest room. Choose a lamp that fits your room’s décor for the table. While you are at it, stock the drawers with some of your favourite books.
SAY NO TO CLUTTER
Always remember, less is more! Sometimes, we tend to fill up our rooms with many pretty and precious things but the end result is often a cluttered, crowded room. If you notice, hotels rooms are always minimalistic. Create a warm room with fewer things.
TABLE TALE
If space permits, have a small study table in the room. See that an electric plug is near by which can be used to charge laptops and tablets. Remember to keep the table clean and clutter-free. A lamp and a small plant are decoration enough.
CURTAIN CALL
Curtains can make or break a room! To give your spare room a hotel guest room feel, layer your curtains. Have a thin, sheer curtain and follow it with a heavy drape. Floor length drapes also help give that luxurious look...
COLOR ME PRETTY
Most luxury hotel rooms are colour co-ordinated. Have a focus wall that’s coloured differently and subtly incorporate that colour in accents to complete the look!
WASHROOM WISDOM
Towels are a must in the washroom. You could also a create a small dental hygiene kit and place it near the wash basin. Hair-dryer, shaving mirror, extra toilet paper and extra set of towels are a must-have!
