Located on the bustling Moyenville Road in Bengaluru, the tropical exteriors of the abode have been painted in joyous tones of yellow and grey. Beautiful inlay work in black and white on the entrance floor welcomes you into a naturally lit and spacious home. “I wanted to create a personal space for my family and not a museum of luxury elements,” shares the architect. The ambiance of the home is India inspired and minimalistic. The living room is a playful combination of monochromatic colour tones and quintessential decor scheme. An artistic grey stone wall incorporated with five circular niches stands as a partition to the living and the dining area. The use of bamboo blinds on the floorto-ceiling windows throughout the house bring in abundance of natural light. Family pictures on the wall along the wooden staircase will be your perfect company as you climb towards the family’s comfort zone comprising of two bedrooms and a lounge. The elegant master bedroom boasts of a muted colour scheme and the use of wooden flooring for an inviting ambiance. The TV lounge area has been planned in such a way that it can be transformed into a complete guest bedroom whenever needed. A pull-out sofa bed, a wardrobe with mirrored doors and sliding and folding doors, when closed give complete privacy to the guest. The kid’s bedroom is filled with energy through the use of vibrant colours like yellow and blue. A private balcony attached to their room allows them to enjoy a little me-time everyday. Anil’s love for nature and its beauty is visible throughout the house. Taking the organic beauty of the house a notch higher is the 500 sqft terrace garden with metal pipe pergolas wrapped with creepers. The three sided open house stands out as a masterpiece in terms of perceptive ground work and intelligent architecture.
