The Danish design company, Dansani, have in recent years been working full-heartedly on a perfect all-round solution, when it comes to lighting in the bathroom. The solutions, include ceiling lights, pendants, wall lights as well as lighting in mirrors, mirror cabinets and vanity units, with light including indirect lighting in cabinets and drawers. All options have one thing in common: They present some of the best colour renderings the market has to offer – whilst at the same time assist in creating the right balance between wellness and task lighting.
COSMIC is expanding its MODULAR collection, designed by Álex Armenter, extending the original idea of offering made-to-measure bathroom furniture with new countertops, washbasins and modules. The new range maintains its current aesthetic and is true to the original design in proportions, lines and style. The extended collection incorporates new continous countertops with integrated washbasins or washbasins and above-counter washbasins.
AXOR Uno was created in collaboration with the Stuttgart-based Phoenix Design studio. It pursues the uncompromising design principles of the original purist movement with consistent construction: two precisely shaped cylinders joined together at a right angle. The spouts and handles are available in radical or gently rounded versions. The precise contours and the raised proportions in the golden ratio of the taps are their defining stylistic features, lending them a special aura and giving them a sleek and elegant look in any setting.
With Scopio, Alape succeeded in reinterpreting and redefining the appearance of a classic washdish - the tapered design of this range, which was designed by Sieger Design, perfectly embodies the architectural clarity of Alape’s portfolio while reflecting the archetype of the washplace – the classic enamel dish. The design of all five Scopio products combines two geometries: a circular basin mould and a tapered telescopic external shape, which was the main idea behind the Scopio name.
A surprisingly attractive and elegant solution is provided by the KEUCO shower seat, developed by the Tesseraux + Partner design agency in Potsdam, which impresses at first sight with its premium material and quality workmanship. Its sitting comfort and high load capacity make it an attractive furnishing. The KEUCO shower seat is made of a soft and body-friendly material, and has a pleasant and warm feel to it. Sitting on it, one feels secure, thanks to the special surface finish. The material is also extremely robust and easy to care for and clean.
Studio THG Paris puts its mark on Dean, a collection of bathroom fittings and accessories with graphic and masculine lines, the details of which contribute to the vintage design of the set. The simplicity of the spout contrasts with the aesthetics of the braces, with delicate and natural curves. With its remarkable contours, this metal fitting recalls an industrial spirit, which is softened by the roundness of the handle. Available for basins, showers and baths, with a coordinated accessories line, this series is available in a wide choice of finishes, including chrome, gold, soft gold, nickel, rhodium silver and rose gold.
The joint effort by Giovanna Talocci and Marco Pallocca has given rise to Seaside Luce, the new bathtub by Teuco, affording a striking, yet simple design and a generous surface (180x180 cm) guaranteeing maximum versatility of well-being functions, where light plays the starring role. The product is a beguiling and unprecedented merger of materials, with the acrylic bathtub covered with panels made of translucent Duralight®, the innovative patented solid surface material conceived and produced exclusively by Teuco, which affords maximum design flexibility.
Line by Treemmee is a series characterised by rounded and embracing shapes to ensure genuine ‘cocoon’ effect. It is a collection designed for the modern needs of today’s bathroom, a place where you can carve out a time to devote exclusively to yourself, a private and pleasant space to treat to. The LINE range has been enhanced with two finishes, black and brass, that will complement the chrome and brushed nickel finishes. These new colours are designed to give LINE both a contemporary and retro vibe.

The basis of the system is the HANSAEMOTION Wellfit thermostat which, in combination with the elegant overhead shower and the HANSAACTIVEJET hand shower, brings the tried-and-tested methods of hot/cold water treatment to the private bathroom for the very first time. Developed in close cooperation with doctors, physiotherapists and health experts,it facilitates a completely new showering experience, and guarantees that the healing effect of water can be experienced by all of the senses.
With the new Miena washbasin bowls made of superior steel enamel Kaldewei presents yet another highlight of modern bathroom design. The washbasins made with a single layer of steel enamel combine the highest standards of minimalist design with a unique fine-edged quality. The Miena washbasin bowls designed by Anke Salomon are available in round and rectangular versions, both in two different sizes. What is completely new is the diversity of colour: apart from the classic bathroom colours, customers can choose from the exclusive shades of the Coordinated Colours Collection.
The Kartell by Laufen range developed by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba is a project that unites the best properties of two brand manufacturers. The new elegant washbasin vanity unit combines with slim ceramic, washbasins in different sizes with standard outlet, several decors for the floor standing washbasin, new furniture elements, a rimless floor standing WC-combination and a free-standing bathtub, together with special surfaces and new colours for the plastic objects, all make the complete bathroom project even more flexible in use, interpreting the bathroom in an independent and unique manner.
Unique vision, international design, selected materials and manufacturing tradition are the key elements of the new FINEZZA faucet and shower collection by
Graff. Internally designed by the G + Design Studio, FINEZZA features architectural details combined with clean lines. The faucet’s main body has been developed into a shape that relies on a unique form, wider at the base and at the top, slimmer in the middle. Available both as a three-hole and a single-handle faucet, the collection features a complete range of deck mounted, wall mounted and floor mounted installations.
GROHE’s broadest faucet range Essence is an incredibly rich toolbox for the creative mind. It allows for a degree of individuality unthinkable before. Essentially new! The full range, from faucets to showers and accessories, offers a tremendous variety with 10 possible combinations of deluxe colours and state-of-theart finishes: Cool Sunrise, Warm Sunset, Hard Graphite and Nickel come either with an elegantly brushed or highly polished finish. They are as beautiful as they sound and work perfectly in high contrast and middle contrast environments as well as in tone-on-tone designs.
The newly designed accessories from Emco, consisting of a paper holder without a lid, rigid towel rails in a one- and two-armed version, a 600 and an 800 mm-wide towel rail and a bath handle, offer expressive alternatives to the already available articles in the classic round-tube design. Furthermore, thanks to the balanced strip-shaped carryover of the wall bracket to the bodies of the accessories a tension is set up between rectilinear and oval forms, particularly on the towel rails. The result is a coherently coordinated design concept that additionally emphasises the classical elegance of the series.
With the AquaClean Sela shower WC designed by the designer and architects Matteo Thun, Geberit has a comfort toilet in the portfolio that not only ensures freshness and cleanliness, but also impresses with its simple design. As of April 2017 Geberit AquaClean Sela, like the AquaClean Mera and AquaClean Tuma models, has the patented WhirlSpray shower technology, which provides a particularly powerful shower jet for particularly thorough cleaning. The intensity can be adjusted in five steps. The intelligent technology for the shower function as well as all connections for electricity and water supply are not visible from the outside, but integrated into the ceramic.
Victoria + Albert Baths, the luxury British bathing brand, is pleased to unveil the new Barcelona 55 vessel basin to add to its existing collection. The perfect complement to the iconic Barcelona bath, known for its modern design and named after the famous Spanish city, this countertop basin makes a statement in any contemporary bathroom. It is made using the brand’s exclusive material, QUARRYCAST®; a unique blend of Volcanic Limestone™ and high performance resins with a number of beneficial properties. Gi-RA design features a design that plays on meanings transforming an emergency button in a command handle to use every day: Mayday by antoniolupi is a remote wall mixer suitable for sink taps, showerheads or hand showers. The water opens by means of an axial movement, not as you would expect by pressing the button but pulling it toward us. The mixing of the water jet takes place by turning right or left while pressing the button closes the jet. A new way of interpreting the mixer and redefining characters and modes of operation.
Featuring organic forms, modern designs and unique minimal details, Memoria Elements by Christophe Pillet for Vitra opens the door to brand new and impressive combinations with excellent harmony. Swivel cabinet offering 360-degree freedom of use, have a mirror, bar for hanging clothing, removable drawer in the middle, and open/closed storage spaces. Moreover, LED lighting on the top creates an elegant ambiance in the bathroom. The tray on the bank can be used for displaying decorative articles while basket keeps personal items.
Ceramica Globo had dedicated an entire wall of its stand to present in an original and creative way its pride and joy: the 14 versions of Bagno di Colore. The Bagno di Colore project includes no fewer than 14 ceramic colors: Flat White, Flat Black, Glossy Black, Cachemire, Perla, Visone, Agata, Petrolio, Castagno, Malva, Felce, Rugiada, Ghiaccio, Camoscio. Bagno di Colore is currently available for several catalog collections and many different articles: a unique achievement in the sector attesting to the company’s production capacity.
A new range of bathroom fittings distinguished by their unique design – KLUDI AMEO – was revealed during ISH 2017. The design, reflecting current trends in interior design, embodies the principles of soft purism. The combination of a simple form with rounded lines of the body and the handle, complemented by the consistency of design between the whole range of products, creates an outstanding opportunity for everyone designing a luxurious bathroom. However, the unique design is not the only advantage of the new line. The fittings come in a wide range of heights, mounting options and ergonomic functions.
Novellini’s Equipped shower column comes in several finishes designed to coordinate with all bathroom furnishing products in the Novellini catalogue. Additional features are available on some of the models such as lighting, robust integrated shower seats and shelving. The Unique designs of columns make them ideal for renovation as they can often be installed to conceal existing connections and thus avoid expensive building work. Conceived and manufactured entirely in the brand’s factories in Mantova, Italy, Novellini shower columns are produced from materials such as Aluminium, Glass and HPL using the latest environmentally friendly production processes.
To complement the beauty of this iconic piece, the freestanding bathtub from Baia collection by Armani/Roca, which also has a retro look, makes a perfect focal piece for any bathroom. Revised with a contemporary tone and paying special attention to ergonomics and comfort, the lines of this bathtub are soft and sinuous. It is also available in an elegant version embellished with four metal handles in three finishes (greige, brushed steel and chrome). These handles are beautiful and functional details which match the rest of the collection.
With the new Namur, HOESCH is supplementing its portfolio by adding a freestanding bathtub that has what it takes to be the star in any bathroom. Because the oval bath is not only an eye-catcher but it also guarantees a long bathing experience. The highlight? The Solique material used – mineral composite using dolomite – keeps the water in the bath warm for a long time.
