Huas Hiltl
the year 1898 when Heinz Hiltl was startled by his impressive recovery from an ailment because of vegetarian food. Trends and recipes passed on from first generation to the fourth and the restaurant has gained a Guinness World Record for being the oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world. Ever since Rolf Hiltl’s grandmother travelled through India and came back with a bag full of exotic spices, Indian cuisine plays an important role at Hiltl. While you savour on a menu that is internationally inspired, you may also like to pay a short visit to their ancestral wall. A 15-meter long mosaic with more than 1,500 photos from Hiltl’s 116 years history. The wall features selected images with augmented reality content, which means by scanning the images using a free app (ex. Junaio), the information becomes visible on your device’s display. A complete package indeed!
