However, it’s not about drenching your home decor into this particular shade only, but to make this just-out trend a part of your home dexterously. Be it your walls, furnishings, decorative accessories or even flooring, the presence of ultra violet in your home is only going to help you boost the interior game. Whether you have a flair for the bold look or you’re up for a soothing minimalistic aura, an ultra violet sofa or couch is your best bet to liven up your living space.” If you want to make a notable first impression, you can begin by painting the entry way wall in this enriching colour. If you are not willing to use the drapes, then you can also opt for solid colour cushion covers.” Mixing deep ultra violet with soft pink tones and other calming pastel shades will highlight the colour even more. “Lamps, side and coffee tables, and even crockery in this colour gives a delicate look. A minimalistic living room with mostly neutral and beige tones, can be brightened up with a decorative rug in ultra violet. One can also experiment with this colour in the bedroom. A variety of bedding and accessories like quilts, bedspreads, bed sheets, etc. in ultra violet with interesting patterns, funky designs and elaborate motifs will defi nitely give a bold and elegant look to the bedroom,” quips Ina Arora, Product Development Head, D’Decor. One can create a regal dining area with exquisite chairs in ultra violet velvet upholstery and team it with tableware in shining jewel tones. Let’s change the game a little bit by opting this shade for areas like the kitchen and the bathroom. Adding this rejuvenating colour into your wet rooms through candles and bath linens will add a spa like feel. Sukriti Sharma, Director, Plusch says, “Ultra violet is a rich and dramatic colour that adds royalty and luxury. Try to mix and match contrasting colours to give more eclectic look. You can enhance the look of your kitchen space by adding the colour to your wall with the shades of green, grey and yes, with white as it will give you a creative and stylish look. You can also go for neutral shades of ultra violet for cabinets.” You can also try working with other shades in the same colour family - lilac, blush, mauve, blue, etc. - the boldness of ultra violet will soften and suddenly feel right at home.
