In both the Giardino all’Italiana collection, and also the Gonzago collection, the idea of moving away the material from its historic rustic application towards its more contemporary context is quite visible. Steven Akoun’s sound absorbing wall tiles is an interesting concept to say the least. These tiles, made up of glass foam, are designed to bring an element of calm to the interior of a house. Though, this project is still a work-in-progress.
