A brief about your­self...

I started work­ing at an early age of 18, and while I was still ex­plor­ing what ar­chi­tec­ture en­com­passes, I worked on ad­ver­tis­ing projects and set de­signs for plush names like Re­liance and LG. Fur­ther, af­ter grad­u­at­ing from TVB School of Habi­tat Stud­ies, New Delhi and post am­ple ex­pe­ri­ence with re­puted ar­chi­tec­ture firms started my own firm Chromed De­sign Stu­dio in 2010.

So, who do you think is an ar­chi­tect?

I be­lieve that ev­ery day is a learn­ing ex­pe­ri­ence, and an ar­chi­tect should fol­low to seek in­spi­ra­tion from ev­ery­thing around them. An artist has can­vas to paint and an ar­chi­tect has city or a piece of land.

Do you still draw?

Yes, be­ing a sculp­tor it is al­ways in my in­stinct to start a project from the process of sketch­ing and mov­ing fur­ther.

A sin­gle state­ment that can de­scribe your de­sign phi­los­o­phy?

It has al­ways been peo­ple cen­tric and taste based ar­chi­tec­ture with re­gional con­text.

What have been the key driv­ers be­hind your suc­cess within such a short span of time? What did you do dif­fer­ently?
