I always had a particular vision for my dream home. Actually a home that is inspired by my travels.

Hailing from Rajasthan, Ruhi’s love for gorgeous gold is quiet natural. Since this is her first home, she was sure to make it a dream house. Her brief was simple. She wanted the whiteness of London homes, a hotel suite like feel that is relaxed and rejuvenated, pastel colours and hint of gold all over. Ruhi says, “I always had a particular vision for my dream home. Actually a home that is inspired by my travels.” As you enter the living room, the custommade artistic furniture in gold and beige welcomes you. You will surely fall for the marble topped nesting table that oozes luxury with its interestingly designed metal base in gold. The huge windows and beige flooring provide spacious and an open feel to this home. The motif

selected for the wallpaper goes pretty well with the colours and provides luxurious appeal.

Though the living cum dining space gets ample natural light, Ruhi decided to have a great combination of white and yellow lights as ambient and mood settings. Her bedroom has a royal appeal with a statement bed featuring larger-than-life upholstered headboard. The colour palette is subtle yet the look lends vibrancy. The actress feels that her home is her good luck charm and therefore you will find aromatic candles and the aroma of essential oils all over the house. “I look forward to come back after a hectic work schedule. I believe in energy and vibration- for me fragrance plays a very important role.”

The house showcases outdoors in many parts. For Ruhi, plants are her pets. “It’s like when you live alone you need a pet. I need plants to take care

and nurture them.”

The bollywood diva is a voracious reader too, which can be easily noticed from the library stacked up with books. “This being my first home, I am madly in love with it,” says Ruhi. And we agree with her!
