The Ideal Home and Garden

EDITOR’S NOTE

-

I want to start my note this month with three important points that our current times have ‘retaught’ me. First, colour is more than just a visual experience, it has deep psychological connections that can radically affect our mood and emotion, almost instantly. Second, interior design is exactly what it says it is - a way to curate the inside structures that we live and work in so that they are comfortable and pleasing to us visually as well as physically. Third, gardening is the ultimate stress buster. Adding greens to your interiors literally adds life into the space, making it refreshing and invigorating. All three showcase the importance of how we can alter our disposition by paying attention to our surroundings, even when things are not going our way.

Lockdown has played a life changing role in all our lives. Spending more time in generating content for social media platforms nowadays, the team has got in touch with many digital content creators whose work made the above three pointers so relevant to all of us. Therefore the team decided to come up with an issue with no special theme this time, but to have features that will help you in creating vivid and colourful living ideas. However, we took nature as our biggest inspiration, from the Cover image to our Colour Of The Month, and 20+ pages on gardening, we are in full support of bringing the beautiful outdoors in! Ringing in the monsoons and prolonged periods of staying home has truly proved how green homes can be the perfect way to transform our concrete structures into spaces of rejuvenation and revival, blending the love for interior design, colours and greens. So flip these pages and enjoy the bountiful array of ideas that we have deligiently and lovingly prepared for you.
