In Ranchi, Cong fields daughter of ex-minister, names nine more in Andhra
THE CONGRESS on Sunday announced fielding former Union minister Subodh Kant Sahay's daughter Yashashwini from Ranchi and recalled the candidature of legislator Deepika Pandey Singh from Godda.
The party's CEC selected Yashashwini to contest from Ranchi seat while Pradeep Yadav will rep lac edee pika pan deysingh ing odd a,ai cc general sec reta ryk C Venugopal said in a statement.
The Congress on April 16 had announced the candidature of Deepika Pandey Singh, Krishna Nand Tripathi and Anupama Singh from Godda, Chatra and Dhanbad, respectively.
It had also announced the names of three candidates Kalicharan Munda, Sukhdeo Bhagat and Jai Prakashbhai Patel on March 27 for Khunti (ST), Lohardaga (ST) and Hazaribagh constituencies, respectively.
Pradeep Yadav will contest against sitting BJP MP Nishikant Dubey,wh ilea nu pam as ingh, the wife of Bermo MLA Kumar Jaimangal Singh, will fight BJP'S Baghmara legislator Dulu Mahto.
Aspertheseat-sharingpactof the Jmm-led alliance in the state, the Congress would contest 7 seats and the JMM 5. The RJD and CPI(ML) are contesting one seat each.
The BJP has already announced candidates for 13 seats and left Giridih for the AJSU Party.
Meanwhile, the Congress announcedthe names of candidates for nine more Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh.
The party's CEC announced candidates for Srikakulam, Viz ian agar am, am ala pu ram( sc ), Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, On go le, nan dy ala, an an tap ur and Hindupur constituencies.
According to an AICC press release,jag nag out ham will contest from Amalapuram (SC), Valluru Bhargav (Vijayawada) and BA Samad Shaheen (Hindupur), among others. The CPI, Congress and CPI(M) are INDIA bloc partners in Andhra Pradesh.
