Kanimozhi wants perpetrators of sexual exploitation put on trial

The New Indian Express - - CHENNAI -

Chennai: MK Kanimozhi, MP and daughter of the late Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, has said people involved in sexual exploitation should be put on trial. In her Twitter account, she said, “The # MeToo campaign should start a debate & make people introspect. Truth should be told to the world. This is a step towards stopping sexual exploitation. Let’s encourage the women to expose the faces behind the mask. Let the perpetrators be put on trial & not the victims”. It may be recalled that lyricist Vairamuthu, who has been facing heat by the #MeeToo campaign in social media during the last few days, was one of the best family friends of Karunanidhi and Kanimozhi.
