Tarun Vi­jay con­ferred Thirukku­ral award

FOR spread­ing the mes­sage of Thirukku­ral, the revered an­cient Tamil lit­er­ary work, BJP leader Tarun Vi­jay was con­ferred a unique award known as ‘Thirukku­ralin Por­wal’ (Sword of Thirukku­ral). The award was pre­sented by Thanga­mani, Di­rec­tor-Gen­eral, In­sti­tute of Thirukku­ral Sciences in the pres­ence of Omanese dig­ni­taries and mem­bers of Tamil or­ga­ni­za­tions at a re­cent func­tion held at the Al Maasa Hall in Mus­cat, said a state­ment from Tarun Vi­jay. In his speech, Tarun Vi­jay had said that Thirukku­ral is the key to un­der­stand­ing of In­dia and he would con­tinue his cam­paign to have Thiru­val­lu­var statue in­side Par­lia­ment and urge govern­ment to be­gin each Par­lia­ment ses­sion by recit­ing Thirukku­ral cou­plets.
