Gandhi’s teachings displayed on office walls
Walls of all government offices in Bihar now carry panels with important teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. The “seven social sins” that the Father of the Nation had identified find place in these panels. They are: Politics without principles, wealth without work, pleasure without conscience, knowledge without character, commerce without morality, science without humanity, and worship without sacrifice. At the height of the freedom movement, Gandhi had published this list in 1925. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, an avowed follower of Gandhi, had ordered display of these messages recently.
