WWPHEEA cel­e­brates Vish­wakarma Day

The wa­ter works (PHE) Em­ploy­ees As­so­ci­a­tion Jammu Prov­ince cel­e­brated the "Vish­wakarma Day" at Kun­jwani work­shop of PHE ground wa­ter & drilling di­vi­sion un­der the chair­man­ship of Sh. Shiv Ku­mar Sharma the pro­vin­cial pres­i­dent of the as­so­ci­a­tion who is also the state pres­i­dent of In­dian Na­tional Trade Union Congress (INTUC). Af­ter pooja the chief guest high­lighted the iconic life of Bhag­wan Vish­wakarma Ji. He de­scribed "His" con­tri­bu­tion to the so­ci­ety very rel­e­vant for the de­vel­op­ment of the world all over even to­day, and "Taught the so­ci­ety to work with skill, in­no­va­tion and ded­i­ca­tion" Chief Guest said. The INTUC pres­i­dent Shiv Ku­mar Sharma while speak­ing on the aus­pi­cious oc­ca­sion said the work­ing classes from the pub­lic sec­tors as well as the pri­vate sec­tors are de­nied their jus­ti­fied wages in ac­cor­dance with their hard work and skill. The work­ers work­ing in the PHE de­part­ment for the last 20-25 years are be­ing nei­ther reg­u­lar­ized nor their monthly wages are be­ing paid reg­u­larly. "They are paid their wages for a month or two only once a twice a year as a re­sult of which their wages are in­pen­dency fro 40-50 months," Sharma said. Ex­press­ing sur­prise and an­guish over the fact that the wages of the daily wa­gers were not re­leased even on the oc­ca­sion of di­wali, he ar­gued how their fam­i­lies would have cel­e­brate di­wali whereas their chil­dren ex­pected much more form them. Con­clud­ing the func­tion Shiv Ku­mar Sharma ap­pealed the work­ers and em­ploy­ees to be hon­est to­wards their du­ties. He thanked all the par­tic­i­pants on be­half of his col­leagues and work­ers. Preeti Bho­jan (Prasad) was also ar­ranged for the work­ing fra­ter­nity.
