Mech­a­nism in place for speedy griev­ance re­dres­sal: Ad­vi­sor Vyas

Ad­vi­sor to Gov­er­nor, B B Vyas, to­day said that nec­es­sary mech­a­nism has been put in place to en­sure speedy and and time­bound re­dres­sal of the griev­ances of peo­ple.

The Ad­vi­sor was in­ter­act­ing with scores of dep­u­ta­tions from dif­fer­ent dis­tricts of Jammu divi­sion who meet him here at con­ven­tion cen­tre un­der the aegis of Gov­er­nor's Griev­ance Cell and pro­jected their prob­lems and de­mands.

Se­nior of­fi­cers of District Ad­min­is­tra­tion, Rev­enue, Agri­cul­ture, and other al­lied De­part­ments were present on the oc­ca­sion. "Nec­es­sary mech­a­nism has al­ready been put in place so that there is proper and timely dis­posal of the griev­ances and is­sues be­ing pro­jected by the peo­ple es­pe­cially re­lated to vi­tal sec­tors and de­part­ments.

The Ad­viser also di­rected the of­fi­cers to be re­spon­sive to the needs and is­sues pro­jected by the peo­ple, con­duct reg­u­lar field vis­its to mon­i­tor sta­tus of im­ple­men­ta­tion of the pro­grammes and get the req­ui­site feed­back.

Over 30 del­e­ga­tions com­pris­ing 145 in­di­vid­u­als and sev­eral other per­sons from the dis­tricts of

Jammu Divi­sion ap­prised the Ad­vi­sor of their griev­ances and sought his in­ter­ven­tion in en­sur­ing out­come-based re­dres­sal. A dep­u­ta­tion of res­i­dents of old Nehru mar­ket flats called for re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion at a suit­able place. Del­e­ga­tions from Mirhama, Bi­jb­hera pro­jected the de­mand for devel­op­ment of a play­grounds in their lo­cal­ity.

A del­e­ga­tion of Post­grad­u­ate Ayurvedic doc­tors de­manded ab­sorp­tion as Aca­demic fac­ulty in the Ayurvedic Col­lege.

Doda Mi­grant com­mit­tee de­manded reg­u­lar­iza­tion as mi­grants with the re­lief depart­ment.

Dep­u­ta­tion from Kathar, Tehsil Akhnoor de­manded es­tab­lish­ment of bank branch in their lo­cal­ity. Man­age­ment of res­i­den­tial home for blinds de­manded re­lief as­sis­tance for the in­mates.

Del­e­ga­tion of em­ploy­ees from Ran­bir Print­ing Press raised the is­sue of re­or­ga­ni­za­tion of the depart­ment and called for re­me­dial mea­sures for re­dress­ing the is­sue. Dep­u­ta­tion of PDD daily wa­gers raised sev­eral is­sues re­lated to their wages and reg­u­lar­iza­tion. Dep­u­ta­tion of own­ers whose land has been ac­quired for Ring Road Project de­manded in­crease in the quan­tum of com­pen­sa­tion be­ing given to them.

Res­i­dents of Sainak Hous­ing Co­op­er­a­tive so­ci­ety raised sev­eral is­sues re­lated to Saink colony and de­manded re­me­dial mea­sures. Dep­u­ta­tion from Chin­gus(rajouri) de­manded con­struc­tion of link roads and other civic ameni­ties.

MLC, Vikram Rand­hawa also called on the Ad­vi­sor and raised sev­eral de­vel­op­men­tal is­sues of the Jammu city.

Other Del­e­ga­tions and in­di­vid­u­als from dif­fer­ent ar­eas of Jammu Divi­sion ap­prised the Ad­vi­sor with their prob­lems re­lated to rev­enue, agri­cul­ture, re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion, hor­ti­cul­ture, Food and Civil Sup­plies and sought his in­ter­ven­tion and im­me­di­ate re­dres­sal.
