MP for col­lec­tive ef­forts to em­power spe­cially-abled per­sons

Mem­ber of Par­lia­ment for Ra­jya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Man­has, to­day em­pha­sized the need of col­lec­tive ef­forts to em­power the spe­ciallyabled per­sons en­abling them live a dig­ni­fied life. The MP was speak­ing as a chief guest at a func­tion or­ga­nized at "Louis Braille Memo­rial res­i­den­tial school for sight­less girls", Mayor JMC Chan­der Mo­han Gupta and Deputy Mayor Poorn­ima Sharma be­sides Sec­re­tary JMC Su­naina Mehta were the guests of hounour.

On the oc­ca­sion, the spe­cially abled chil­dren pre­sented cul­tural pro­grammes. MP said that so­ci­eties across the globe should work for em­pow­er­ing per­sons with dis­abil­i­ties so that they too con­trib­ute to­wards na­tion build­ing as they are an in­te­gral part of our so­ci­ety.
