Train­ing prog on Civil De­fence com­mences

A 5 day train­ing pro­gramme for Civil De­fence war­dens and Vol­un­teers com­menced here to­day.

Dis­trict De­vel­op­ment Com­mis­sioner Rahul Ya­dav, Area Com­man­der Civil De­fence Poonch DSP Ke­val Kr­is­han, train­ers from SDRF be­sides CD war­dens and vol­un­teers at­tended the pro­gramme. While speak­ing on the oc­ca­sion, DDC threw light on the im­por­tance of Civil De­fence train­ing to first re­spon­ders in case of any dis­as­ter or nat­u­ral calamity. He said the first re­spon­der plays a sig­nif­i­cant role in sav­ing pre­cious lives in case of a dis­as­ter.

He also made a men­tion of three main as­pects of Civil de­fence namely Dis­as­ter Mit­i­ga­tion, Dis­as­ter Prepa­ra­tion and Re­sponse. Civil De­fence trainer, Head Con­sta­ble Vikas Sharma, ex­plained in de­tail the things to do in or­der to give pre med­i­cal treat­ment to the vic­tims of a dis­as­ter. He also shared the tech­niques and meth­ods for pro­vid­ing

First aid to the vic­tims be­fore they reach the hos­pi­tal.

Dur­ing the 5 day train­ing, the CD war­dens and vol­un­teers will be im­parted train­ing in dif­fer­ent ar­eas of civil de­fence as first re­spon­ders.
