Plan­ta­tion drive launched around Chenani-nashri tun­nel

As part of Swach­hta Pakhwada (fort­night san­i­ta­tion) cam­paign, the El­samex Main­te­nance Ser­vices Ltd. the firm re­spon­si­ble for the se­cu­rity and main­te­nance of the 9.25Km long Chenani-nashri tun­nel, planted plants on the va­cant land around the sub­way, here today.

Chief Med­i­cal Of­fi­cer(cmo), Ram­ban, Dr Saif-ud-din Khan along­with Head Tun­nel Op­er­a­tions, Chan­der Dev Jamwal launched the plan­ta­tion by plant­ing saplings.

Later, the Block De­vel­op­ment Of­fi­cer, Ba­tote, Ajeet Singh, Su­per­vi­sor, Surinder Sharma also planted sev­eral va­ri­eties of plants in the area in pres­ence of Dal­jeet Singh, Route Pa­trolling Of­fi­cer, Ko­mal Kour, As­sis­tant Man­ager, HR, Mo­hammed Javed, Safety In­charge, Er.

Laud­ing the ef­forts of El­samex Main­te­nance Ser­vices Ltd. in main­tain­ing and con­serv­ing the en­vi­ron­ment around the CN tun­nel as part of its Cor­po­rate So­cial Responsibility (CSR), the CMO said that the Com­pany has been car­ry­ing out many a san­i­ta­tion and clean­li­ness re­lated pro­grammes in the area be­sides cre­at­ing the road safety aware­ness among the pub­lic and mo­torists.
