Ptaxes t O Of course you have been to t the Beer Cafe. All of us CPc cavorting people (CP = Conn naught Place) have sat there a at some time or the other, relishing a glass of Pilsner and eating some delightfully yummy Maggi. Yes, you read correct, Maggi. So if we have all been there and done that, why write about the place? The answer is simple. This is a new Beer Cafe, specifically its flagship store title Biggie, not so far from the older joint. Spread across three levels, the property is simply superb. The old building, right in the heart of CP, offers a stunning view of the Inner Circle from one of the two terrace spaces. An old, burnt-down fireplace from the older structure has been retained, along with the original brick work.

The liquor menu remains the same — perhaps one of the most intensive and wide ranging beer menus that you will find in the city. The newest additions to the beer menu are the Irish Magners Cider, a refreshing peach cider also available on the tap and the Canadian brew called the Carling. The new cafe also takes into account the growing demand and preference for draught beer and has introduced hightech PYOB (pour your own beer) taps which will adapt to newer technology and cloud computing.

So if you are a Beer Cafe lover, and like sipping truly indulgent international brews over some light music and heady conversation, Biggie is a must visit. The place offers some excellent beer batter fish and delectable satays that will deftly aid in soaking all the ale you are going to down. And trust me; you are going to glug substantially.
