IgnoreD by congress, peeVeD politicians eye bJp

Ram Vilas Paswan met Sonia Gandhi twice, requesting her for an alliance in Bihar, but was told that it was Rahul Gandhi who would take the final decision on the matter. After a prolonged wait, Paswan joined hands with the BJP. The case of another Dalit leader, Udit Raj was even worse. The Congress was using his services for a long time, and Raj was keen to join the party. All that he wanted was to become an MP. But he was denied a Lok Sabha ticket, after which he joined the BJP. In fact it is not just allies, several Congress politicians from Uttar Pradesh too are peeved with their party and are in touch with BJP president Rajnath Singh. Jagdambika Pal, the MP from Domariyaganj, has been waiting for five years for his party to give him some post, but in vain. He is now looking at the BJP. The others who can join the BJP include Balrampur MP Binoo Pandey, and Lakhimpur Kheri’s Muslim MP, Zafar Ali Naqvi. In fact, Naqvi is so frustrated that he has been telling his supporters that he was left with no other option but to join the BJP. Sudha Rai, the widow of Kalpnath Rai is looking toward the BJP as well. She had met AICC general secretary in charge of UP, Madhusudan Mistry seeking a ticket from Mau, her husband’s erstwhile parliamentary constituency. When she introduced herself to Mistry and talked about her husband’s popularity in Mau, Mistry retorted, “Kalpnath Rai kaun?” After which, Sudha Rai decided that there was no way she was staying in the Congress.
