Bridge the protein gap with peanut butter
Irregular eating habits have been a cause for concern for quite a while. With every subsequent survey giving out alarming findings, health experts are in a constant spin to improvise a regular meal to make it healthier. In continuation to that, the Indian Market Research Bureau carried out survey around protein consumption in the diet of adult Indians in seven cities including Delhi, with a survey sample of around 1,200 participants, both male and female, in the age bracket of 30-35 years. The survey highlighted that almost nine out of every 10 Indians have insufficient protein levels in their bodies and 99% of the Delhi sample was low on proteins.
To bridge this gap, Agrotech Foods, who are known for manufacturing the popular Sundrop cooking oil, are suggesting consumption of peanut butter, which is known to be a rich source of protein. It is a rather recent entrant in the Indian market, explaining its limited usage. Besides being rich in protein, peanut butter has high monounsaturated fat, which assists in reducing cholesterol levels. The research conducted by the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the US National Institutes of Health also shows that eating peanut butter three days a week can reduce the risk of developing breast diseases by 39%.
With more health benefits, it is time that one frees themselves of all the guilt behind eating peanut butter.
