Leo to testify in court

-

NEW YORK: Leonardo DiCaprio must appear in court to give testimony in a lawsuit filed by former Stratton Oakmont executive Andrew Greene who had alleged that one of the characters in the Wolf of Wall Street film were based on him. US magistrate judge Steven Locke dismissed the argument that summoning DiCaprio was merely an attempt at harassment and ordered the star to give his testimony. Greene is suing producers including DiCaprio’s Appian Way Productions. He claims that the character of Nicky “Rugrat” Koskoff, played by P.J. Byrne was inspired by him, and that the depiction damaged his reputation to the tune of $15 million. Greene is challenging the filmmakers for malicious libel against him. Meanwhile, in other news, TIME magazine reports that DiCaprio has invested in a startup named Qloo which is a “cultural recommendations engine”.
