KINGPIN OF FAKE CURRENCY RACKET HELD IN BENGAL

KOLKATA: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday arrested the kingpin of a fake Indian currency note (FICN) racket from Malda district in West Bengal, a senior official said. Later, he was arrested by the National Investigat­ion Agency (NIA). “Ripon Seikh alias Litan, the mastermind in several cases of fake currency traffickin­g, was apprehende­d by the BSF from Bapchera village in Malda’s Baishnab Nagar area on Saturday morning,” a BSF official said. According to BSF sources, they were notified about Seikh’s activities by the NIA.
