PresidenTs of rwanda and Kenya To aTTend VibranT gujaraT 2017

Having successful­ly organized seven constructi­ve summits, Government of Gujarat, as part of its journey towards sustainabl­e long-term growth and inclusive developmen­t is organizing the 8th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit from the 10-13 January at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinaga­r. The central focus of the 8th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, under the leadership of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, is “Sustainabl­e Economic and Social Developmen­t”. It is learnt that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited Presidents of Rwanda and Kenya who are not only scheduled to attend the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit but also participat­e in all business events. President of Rwanda Paul Kagame will be on a state visit from January 9-12. Kagame accompanie­d by business officials, will hold official talks with Modi on January 9 in Gandhinaga­r. He will attend the Summit on January 10 and will be addressing a National Business Seminar on Rwanda. Rwanda will also be participat­ing in the Global Trade Show 2017. Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, who will be accompanie­d by several of his Ministers, will pay a visit from January 10-12. Kenyatta will also hold official talks with Prime Minister Modi on January 11 in Delhi and on the day after is expected to attend a business forum in the national capital. During the visit, President Kenyatta is also expected to call on President Pranab Mukherjee. Vice President Hamid Ansari, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister for Defence Manohar Parrikar are also expected to call on President Kenyatta.
