BENGAL’S COW SMUGGLING BUSINESS IS DRYING UP

NORTH 24 PARGANAS, WEST BENGAL an estimated 60,000 heads of cattle being smuggled out of India into Bangladesh, every day, even two years ago. However, the illegal business seems to have been hit by almost 80% in the past couple of years, thanks to the strict vigil by the Border Security Force (BSF) along the 2,217 km border that West Bengal shares with Bangladesh.
