ANNAPURNA DEVI IS DEAD

MUMBAI: Hindustani classical musician Annapurna Devi died at Breach Candy Hospital here on Saturday morning, a hospital staff member said. She was 89. The Indian “surbahar” player was the daughter and disciple of sarod exponent Alauddin Khan.
