PriNce charles’ car ruNs oN white wiNe

LONDON: Prince Charles, heir apparent to the British throne, drives a luxury car that runs on white wine. According to the British media, the Prince of Wales’ Aston Martin Volante, a car he has owned since the age of 21, now runs entirely on surplus English wine after he insisted that Aston engineers find a more environmentally friendly option to fossil fuel. According to Charles, 69, the Volante run on white wine not only “runs better”, but is also “more powerful” than when it is run on petrol. Initially, Aston Martin engineers did not want to carry out any modifications, saying, using wine as fuel would ruin the Volante. But Prince Charles told them that he would not drive the car then. Using wine as fuel apparently comes with a bonus: “It smells delicious as you’re driving along,” joked the Prince. The Prince of Wales is a vocal advocate of environment-friendly practices.
