‘CENTRE DEVELOPING OXYGEN GENERATION PLANTS IN HOSPITALS’

NEW DELHI: Taking a serious note of the issue of shortage of medical oxygen in many states across the country amid surging Covid-19 cases, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan on Saturday said that the Centre has taken concrete steps to resolve the issue and situation will be normalised soon. Dr Vardhan chaired a highlevel meeting with the Health Ministers of 11 states and Union territorie­s (UTS) on Saturday and reviewed the availabili­ty of oxygen, ventilator­s, manpower, medicines, hospital beds in the affected states/uts. After the meet, he said that the Government of India is developing oxygen generation plants in many hospitals across the country.
