Now, KTR refers to Amit Shah as Mungeri Lal

The Times of India (Mumbai edition) - - TIMES NATION -

T elangana IT minister K T Rama Rao has now likened BJP chief Amit Shah to ‘Mungeri Lal’ in once Doordarshan’s popular serial ‘Mungeri lal ke Haseen Sapne’. “Amit Shah has made a claim that the BJP would form the next government in Telangana. He is like ‘Mungeri Lal’ who is living in a make-believe and imaginary world,” Rao commented at aTRS party meeting of Sanathnagar constituency on Sunday.

Demanding that the Election Commission intervene to verify and sanitise voter lists, Congress spokesman Abhishek Singhvi said a preliminary examination suggested that the problem of duplicates, deleted voters and disqualified voters was far more acute in Telangana. “Close to 70 lakh voters are found to be falling in these three categories,” he said.

He added, “Rao rushed to announce assembly polls dates and chose to ignore thediscrepancies in the voter list that erode the integrity of the polls, whenever they are conducted.”
