Judges should fast-track cases where undertrials are in jails: Justice Patil
T he acting Chief Justice of the Bombay HC, Naresh Patil, on Saturday said principal district and sessions jud- ges should draw a plan to fast-track criminal cases involving undertrials in jails, considering the pendency of such ca- ses. “The courts should conclude trials in a time-bound manner, from three to five days... The courts are taking six months or more,” he said at an event in Pune. Justice Patil will take oath as the Chief Justice of the HC on Monday.
