Nitin Gad­kari un­der­goes tests, re­ports nor­mal

Union min­is­ter for road trans­port and high­ways Nitin Gad­kari is okay af­ter he took rest from a gru­elling sched­ule. All so­cial ap­point­ments were can­celled and he un­der­went a full med­i­cal check-up at a pri­vate hos­pi­tal in Nag­pur. His staff and fam­ily said the re­ports were nor­mal and there was no cause for worry.

Car­di­ol­o­gist Harsh­ward­han Mardikar, who ex­am­ined Gad­kari on Satur­day at his hos­pi­tal in Dhan­toli, said the tests did not in­di­cate any­thing to panic or worry. “His tests were nor­mal and he is fine,” Dr Mardikar said.

Gad­kari had fainted at the fag end of a con­vo­ca­tion at Rahuri on Fri­day.
