The Times of India (Mumbai edition) - - TIMES CITY -

Thane: Repeatedly refused a motorcycle ride by his uncle, a 23-year-old set the two-wheeler ablaze in an act of vengeance that destroyed three other motorcycles and four autorickshaws parked in Lokmanya Nagar early on Monday, said the police. The youth, Ajay Bumbak of Indira Nagar, was arrested on the basis of prima facie evidence and his confession.

Bumbak’s father had bought the bike but it was being used by his uncle, said the police. “Bumbak wanted the twowheeler back in his custody as the two-wheeler was in his fathers’ name and he had partly paid the instalments,” senior inspector Sulabha Patil said.

Bumbak had got into an argument with his uncle and threatened him with unpleasant consequences for refusing him use of the bike. Around 3 am on Monday, Bumbak went to the parked motorcycle, pulled out the fuel pipe and set it on fire, said the police officer.
