CBI is Cen­tre’s il­le­gal po­lice force, says Sena

Shiv Sena mouth­piece ‘Saamna’ took a swipe at the Modi gov­ern­ment on Sun­day, say­ing the CBI was cre­ated in 1963 by way of a sim­ple ex­ec­u­tive or­der and, which lacks Con­sti­tu­tional sanc­tity. An ar­ti­cle en­dorsed by se­nior Sena func­tionary San­jay Raut added that the pre­mier in­ves­tiga­tive agency was the cen­tral gov­ern­ment’s il­le­gal po­lice force, in­ter­fer­ing in matters per­tain­ing to the rights of states and rel­e­vant laws to brow­beat the Op­po­si­tion. Raut, con­sid­ered a hawk in the party, is said to be stri­dently op­posed to the Sena’s political al­liance with the BJP. Am­bar­ish Mishra re­ports,
