Mukul Roy, a former close aide of Mamata Banerjee who had quit Trinamool Congress to join BJP, was named in an FIR on Sunday as one of the accused in the murder of Krishanganj Trinamool MLA Satyajit Biswas. Saturday’s killing has opened a fresh front in the Trinamool-BJP war of words in Bengal. Roy is heading BJP’s campaign strategy in the eastern state and is one of the four people against whom IPC Sections 302 (murder) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) have been slapped. Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will not immediately transfer surplus capital, which is set aside as reserve over the years, to the government. The central bank audit committee has, however, cleared an interim dividend of Rs 28,000 crore based on a limited audit for the current year and the same is likely to be declared after the central bank’s board meeting on February 18.
