The Times of India (Mumbai edition) - - TRENDS TIMES -

Washington: Exposure to residual tobacco and nicotine lingering in carpets and upholstery in rooms, as well as a smoker’s fingers, can cause respiratory problem in children, a study has found.

Experts at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati found evidence of the harmful effects of exposure to the residue of tobacco smoke. Higher levels of exposure to the residue — which includes carcinogenic nitrosamines — may be linked to respiratory problems.
