Has NiMo got indefinite stay nod: Govt to UK

The Times of India (New Delhi edition) - - FRONT PAGE -

India has asked the UK to clarify whether Nirav Modi has permission to stay indefinitely in that country even as the ED plans to file extradition requests with multiple countries as Modi has changed his location frequently in the past few months, report Indrani Bagchi & Pradeep Thakur.

An ILR is like a long-term visa, which grants a person legal protection against deportation. In that case, Modi’s status in the UK would be similar to that of Vijay Mallya and would require India to file for extradition under the bilateral treaty.
