New Delhi: Six people were arrested on Wednesday for abducting a man from Shalimar Bagh. The main accused alleged that the kidnapped man was not returning money borrowed by him.

DCP (northwest) Aslam Khan said that the accused are Kartik alias Sonu Pradhan, Irfan, Ankit, Sumit, Gaurav and Piyush.

Cops received a PCR call early on Tuesday from Shalimar Bagh, where a security guard saw some men abducting a pedestrian at gunpoint. The car was traced to the owner of a spa in Netaji Subhash Place, identified as Kartik. When probed, he confessed and told cops where the man was kept in Tagore Garden. Cops reached there and freed the man, and held the other five accused.

Kartik told cops that Bunny had borrowed Rs 40,000 from him but wasn’t returning it. In a bid to recover his cash, the accused conspired with his friends and abducted him.
