On bijli and paani, BJP holds dharna outside Kejri house

New Delhi: Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari, along with senior BJP leaders and party workers, staged a dharna on Friday near CM Arvind Kejriwal’s residence to protest against water and power crisis in Delhi and delay in release of funds to the municipal corporations.

Led by Tiwari, around 2,000 party workers marched from Civil Lines to Kejriwal’s residence. Addressing the workers, Tiwari said, “The government in Delhi is deaf-dumb & blind and insen- sitive towards the people facing various problems. Head of such government CM Kejriwal has himself become a big problem for Delhi. Solving any problem is not a part of his character; rather creating controversies for political gain on every problem is part of his character.”

Leader of opposition in Delhi assembly Vijender Gupta said, “It is sad that the Kejriwal government had accepted the recommendations of the 4th Delhi Finance Commission report more than a year ago, but has not implemented it till date.”
