Swachh Bharat toilet-building creates 70cr man-days
New Delhi: Construction of toilets in villages has generated nearly 70 crore man-days since the launch of Swachh Bharat Mission in 2014, the government said on Friday.
“Construction of one toilet takes three days and three people are engaged. So far about 7.7 crore toilets have been built. You can calculate the man-days of work generated because of toilet construction,” drinking water and sanitation secretary Parameswaran Iyer told TOI.
