Less than a week af­ter five work­ers died in­side a sewage tank, there was an­other tragic death as a 28-yearold man died while clean­ing a DJB sewer pit in west Delhi’s Dabri on Fri­day evening, re­ports Pankhuri Ya

The vic­tim, Anil, was given an old rope by the ac­cused, Sat­bir Kala, and was asked to en­ter the sewer with­out any safety gear de­spite re­peated warn­ings by an­other per­son, Ramesh, who was asked to help him.

Kala, who had called Anil to clean the sewer, had a panic at­tack af­ter he saw him dead and was ar­rested af­ter be­ing dis­charged from hos­pi­tal on Sun­day evening. A DJB spokesper­son said the work be­ing car­ried out was unau­tho­rised. P2
