BJP throws muck at AAP over Kejriwal’s Dubai trip
New Delhi: Though AAP on Saturday clarified that chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is on a private visit to Dubai to attend a family function of an IIT batchmate, the opposition BJP has suspected a “hidden agenda” behind it.
Questioning the secrecy associated with the trip, leader of opposition Vijender Gupta said the visit had come over a week after health minister Satyendar Jain went to Dubai.
Rejecting the BJP charge of ‘hidden agenda’, AAP’s Raghav Chadha called it ‘outlandish’
Kejriwal left for Dubai on November 8 and will be back on Sunday. “Last week, Satyendar Jain had gone to Dubai. Within a span of 10 days, CM Kejriwal has gone to Dubai. AAP’s silence proves that there is something wrong. It is clear that there is a hidden agenda behind this visit,” Gupta alleged.
AAP spokesperson Raghav Chadha rejected the BJP charge as “outlandish”.
Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari alleged that Kejriwal was not serious about pollution. “Delhi is blanketed by toxic smoke but Kejriwal is on a tour of Dubai with his family,” he tweeted. He alleged that the visit was about “converting black money received as political donations into white money”.
