Upset with TDP tie-up, Chiru to quit Con­gress?

Hy­der­abad: Upset with Con­gress for cosy­ing up with the Tel­ugu De­sam Party, ac­tor­turned-politi­cian K Chi­ran­jeevi has of­fered to quit the party. Sources in the Chi­ran­jeevi fam­ily told TOI that the for­mer Union min­is­ter ex­pressed his dis­con­tent and ques­tioned as to how did it go for an ‘un­eth­i­cal’ al­liance with TDP.

It was on Novem­ber 1 that Andhra Pradesh CM N Chan­drababu Naidu met Con­gress pres­i­dent Rahul Gandhi fol­low­ing which it was an­nounced that the two par­ties will work to­gether for both AP Assem­bly and Lok Sabha elec­tions in 2019. “Chiru is upset with the de­ci­sion of the Con­gress high com­mand. He is yet to sub­mit his res­ig­na­tion, but will de­cide in a cou­ple of days,” a source told TOI.
