Statue of Unity: 2cr revenue from tickets
Rajnish Agarwal, 37, who came from Indore, said, “We reached Kevadia Colony at around noon on Friday but the ticket window for the observation deck was closed. We saw the museum, the dam and the Valley of Flowers. “The main purpose of coming here was to get a view of the area from the observation deck on the statue, but this was not possible. Our children were very disappointed.”
“There was a huge rush of people from the state and those from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra,” said PC Vyas, chief engineer, Sardar Sarovar Nigam Ltd. Vyas added that over the last one week, Rs 2.25 crore was generated from ticket sales.
