in Bahraich on Mon­day re­jected the bail plea of in­ter­na­tional golfer Jy­oti Rand­hawa and his friend Mahesh Bi­ra­j­dar. Dis­trict gov­ern­ment coun­sel SP Singh said, “The court of dis­trict judge Upen­dra Ku­mar has re­jected the bail plea of both Rand­hawa and Bi­ra­j­dar. The two were caught with firearms, hide of sam­bar and a dead jun­gle­fowl in­side Katar­ni­aghat wildlife sanc­tu­ary of Dud­hwa tiger re­serve, which is a se­ri­ous of­fence.” Lawyer rep­re­sent­ing the for­est depart­ment, said Rand­hawa will have to move the Al­la­habad high court to ap­ply for bail now.
