15-yr-old held for stalk­ing Class IX girl

Ghazi­abad: A 15-year-old boy, a stu­dent of Class X, was de­tained on Sun­day for al­legedly stalk­ing a Class IX stu­dent of an­other school. The boy will be pro­duced be­fore the ju­ve­nile jus­tice board.

The 14-year-old girl’s fa­ther, ase­cu­rity guard and a res­i­dent of a colony that falls un­der the Si­hani Gate po­lice sta­tion’s ju­ris­dic­tion, al­leged that the boy and his brothers had co­erced his daugh­ter to run away from home in Oc­to­ber 2018.

They were later caught by the rail­way po­lice while they were on their way to Am­rit­sar and handed over to their re­spec­tive fam­i­lies.

How­ever, ac­cord­ing to the girl’s mother, the boy did not mend his ways and kept stalk­ing her daugh­ter. She al­leged that just two days ago, the boy had hacked her daugh­ter’s Face­book pro­file as well. The girl’s mother said due to the stalk­ing, she had sent her daugh­ter away to a rel­a­tive’s place some time back.

Po­lice said the two mi­nors study in dif­fer­ent schools. They met three years ago at tu­ition classes. An FIR against the boy and his fam­ily mem­bers was reg­is­tered and the boy was de­tained.
