5 from NCR held for ruckus in train

Agra: Five men from Delhi and Gur­gaon trav­el­ling in New Delhi-In­dore In­ter­city Ex­press were ar­rested for drink­ing and cre­at­ing ruckus in­side AC I coach on Sun­day. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Union HRD min­is­ter Ramesh Pokhariyal ‘Nis­hank’ were trav­el­ling in the ad­ja­cent coupe. Birla’s as­sis­tant lodged a com­plaint af­ter which Rail­way Pro­tec­tion Force and Govern­ment Rail­way Po­lice swung into ac­tion.

Po­lice say that the five trav­el­ling in H1 coach were go­ing to Uj­jain’s Ma­hakalesh­war Jy­otir­linga and ar­rested at 1.10 am af­ter the train reached Mathura junc­tion. On Mon­day, the five were pro­duced be­fore the Mathura rail­way mag­is­trate court where they were given dates to ap­pear to pay fine.
