New Delhi: Five men were nabbed on Wednesday for allegedly murdering a 13-yearold boy in central Delhi’s Mandir Marg.

Police said that the boy, Vikas, was abducted by six men in an autorickshaw on Saturday, following which a case of kidnapping was registered based on his parents’ statement.

After a long search, five out of the six accused were taken into custody, unravelling the mystery of his disappearance. On Wednesday, Vikas’ body was found near Mandir Marg.

The accused men told police that they beat the teen with sticks and rods, and left him in an unconscious state where he succumbed to his injuries. The murder was allegedly plotted by one Yogesh alias Makdi, as revenge for being thrashed by Vikas and his friends a few days prior to the murder.

Police said that all the accused live in nearby slums. The manhunt to nab the sixth accused is still on.
