DMK chief M K Stalin said “PM Modi should in­ter­vene” to end the Hindi row. “If the Cen­tre fails to back­track, DMK will launch a na­tion­wide ag­i­ta­tion,” he said. PMK chief S Ra­ma­doss said Amit Shah can’t im­pose Hindi on non-Hindi speak­ing peo­ple. Congress said the three-lan­guage for­mula should not be al­tered and con­tro­ver­sies must not be stirred up on “emo­tive” is­sues set­tled by Con­sti­tu­tion-mak­ers while TMC chief Ma­mata Ban­er­jee tweeted, “We may learn many lan­guages, but we should not for­get our mother lan­guage.” P 10
