Nabi, Mu­jeeb power Afghanista­n to big win

Dhaka: Mo­ham­mad Nabi helped Afghanista­n to a 25-run win over Bangladesh. Afghanista­n lead the points table at the half­way point of the tri-se­ries. Afghanista­n have now equalled Aus­tralia’s record of most T20I matches with­out a de­feat, and in some style. Bangladesh were bowled out for 139 after Nabi’s un­beaten 84 off 54 helped Afghanista­n post 164/6. Mu­jeeb-ur-Rah­man claimed 4/15 to sti­fle the hosts. Nabi blasted seven sixes and three fours. He came to the crease with Afghanista­n in trou­ble at 40 for 4, and fin­ished with sev­eral big hits in the last five overs.

Su­mit fin­ishes run­ner-up:

A ti­tle con­tin­ued to elude Su­mit Na­gal as he fin­ished run­ner-up in the 46,000-euro ATP Chal­lenger men’s ten­nis event in Banja Luka in Bos­ni­aHerze­gov­ina on Sun­day. The 22-year-old went down to the Nether­lands’ Tal­lon Griekspoor 2-6, 3-6 in an hour and 30 min­utes, a some­what sur­pris­ing score­line as he had put up a strong show on the red clay through­out the tour­na­ment.
